Revision Sites

I won’t cover specific theory prep as there are far more experienced Pilots out there – However, I’d recommend the following resources (note: they are all paid resources but well worth it ):

ClearFlight.aero

They also own the website TrainingHub.aero (this is the one I used). This was a great website to use for last minute consolidation prep a few days before the exams. They have now added a theory section, so you can complete some short bitesize theory lessons/worked examples, before a mock question section, where you need to attain 75% or more to progress.

Bristol Ground School

Their PPL Question Bank is solid. I believe BGS are recommended for later courses as well, such as CPL and ATPL exams, so I thought I’d get used to them now.

You can sort by exam category, and then filter by ‘appears most often’, ‘random’, or even options such as ‘never answered correctly’ (I found this most helpful – to rinse and repeat the questions until I got every single one correct). Most of the exam topics easily have over 500+ questions – Not all are truly applicable to UK / PPL (for example, there’s a lot of Austrian and Spanish questions, and I even got some ‘harder’ ATPL questions), but it’s very good practice for the exam. A great variety of questions in the question bank to ensure you’re covered.

They also offer online PPL training (however, I didn’t use it).

EasyPPL

I didn’t personally use this resource, but I’ve heard very good things about it from friends. From the sample material I’ve seen on their website it looks very comprehensive. But I’d say either go with learning from the books, or use EasyPPL – both is probably overkill!
